Antique Georgian Halley's Comet Memorial Intaglio Fob Austria-Hungary The ring is not hallmarkedA wonderful commemorative antique fob depicting Edmond Halley who discovered Halley's Comet through his body of work 'Synopsis Astronomia Cometicae' predicting the famous sighting of Halley's Comet in 1758. This ornate metal fob features a carnelian intaglio carved with a portrait of Halley with a little shooting star next to him. A similar piece is featured in the archives of the Science Museum.
