St Sunday Crag towers over its neighbours at centre left, whilst, on the right far skyline, Dollywaggon Pike, Nethermost Pike, Birkhouse Moor and Striding Edge rise up to the great dome of Helvellyn. Gowbarrow Fell is the ancient deer forest of the Howard family, where red deer can sometimes be glimpsed. "The
