Comprehensive genomic analyses have revealed a distinct tobacco-related mutational signature in liver tumors of smokers, characterized by cytosine-to-adenine base substitutions, dinucleotide alterations, and guanine adduct formation, patterns resembling those observed in lung and head-and-neck cancers [38,39,40]
Luckily, the liver is very resilient , and even if some degree of liver damage is experienced (either from overdoing it with Tylenol or from something else), the liver usually starts to recover within a couple days of stopping the drug and is fully back to normal within several weeks or months
