The only retatrutide-specific cognitive evidence in any species is a 2026 preprint reporting that, in male rats with chemically induced diabetes, retatrutide preserved spatial learning and short-term memory, reduced one inflammation-driving chemical (TNF-alpha) in the brain's memory centre (the hippocampus), and partially protected the surface layer of the brain (the cortex) and the hippocampus from the damage seen in untreated diabetic rats [15]
