Labradorite, a type of feldspar, was first spotted in 1770 on Labrador peninsula in Canada, but it's since been dug up in other places. Its raw form appears somewhat dull, but once cut & polished, the stones gleam with a metallic shine & shimmer like the Aurora Borealis (AKA the Northern Lights). At the right angle, vibrant shades of blue, green, gold, or purple "Flash" dance
