Darkroom Print: Muhammad Ali, Chicago, 1966 Music Ian Berry conceived of TheIn 1966, when Thomas Hoepker was a young staff photographer at STERN magazine, he was asked to cover a fight in London with the then heavyweight champion of the world, Muhammad Ali. After documenting him for a few days there, Hoepker persuaded his editor that the story was bigger and followed Ali to Chicago, where this iconic image of his world famous fist was taken. Over the course of a decade, Hoepker was given the opportunity to photograph Ali
