'A Beech Shaded Granary' Wood Engraving opal This plate has a wonderfulAn exquisite wood engraving by artist Howard Phipps. The beautifully intricate engraving itself measures just 10cm x 12. 5cm and is mounted in an off white mount making its outside dimensions 29. 5cm x 33cm. Howard's wood engravings have been cut on the end grain of a block of very hard Boxwood using very fine tools. The final image is printed by hand using an Albion Press which was made in 1862.
