Barcombe Hill, Northumberland +Scott-Septimus-Edwin Watercolour 48cm x 72cm (19"Barcombe Hill is located at the bottom of Northumberland National Park, just south of Hadrians Wall. The Iron Age settlement and hillfort are located on the east side of the hill. It is said that the defended camp was damaged by quarries, possibly during the construction of Hadrians Wall. From the settlement and trig point, there are views of the Tyne valley to the south and Hadrians Wall to the north. I painted this during my final year at
